The first Mountain Media books are now available. The Sutherland Trail – A journey through north-west Scotland, is based on the BBC television programme first broadcast in 2008 and describes a week-long backpacking journey between Lochinver and Tongue through some of the most inspiring landscapes in Britain. The Skye Trail – a journey through the Isle of Skye, describes a 75 mile route from Rhuba Hunish, on the northern tip of the Trotternish Ridge to Broadford in the south of the island. Both books have been written by Cameron McNeish and illustrated by Richard Else.

The Mountain Media DVD collection highlights the fabulous wealth of hill-walking and backpacking potential within the UK and features some of the most dramatic rock-climbing that’s ever been broadcast. DVD’s include some of the best known outdoor activists in the land – including Dave MacLeod, Tim Emmett, Any Kirkpatrick, Karen Darke and Cameron McNeish. And the collection is growing. Plans include a collection of DVD’s showcasing Scotland’s longest backpacking route and the film of a marathon to end all marathons – an ultra long-distance run from John O’ Groats to the Sahara!
All Mountain Media DVD’s are broadcast quality and many of them are in High Definition.
